Graham has run his own businesses since 1966. They have encompassed operations in transport, retail, wholesale, import/export, direct marketing and manufacturing.
He is the founder and non executive chairperson of Western Refractories P/L, founded in 1997.
Kathleen McGregor Chief Financial Officer and Owner
Kathleen McGregor trained for 3 years as a junior school teacher, specialising in disadvantaged children. After leaving teaching to have a family Kathleen became involved in the various businesses owned by the McGregor family with her focus being administration and finance.
She has been the CFO of Western Refractories P/L since 1997.
Jimmy McGregor Managing Director and Owner
Jimmy has been exposed to the ceramic industry and the McGregor Family way of doing business for as long as he can remember. His first venture into self employment at age 5 resulted in an intense interest in how businesses work and lead to post graduate study in Commerce and Property.
Jimmy is the Managing Director of Western Refractories and lives by the company’s delivery of ‘unmatched value, service and partnership’
Tracey Formilan Systems Manager
Tracey is a skilled administrator with over 20 years experience in numerous industries, including hospitality, manufacturing and financial services. With a background as a business analyst and system trainer her passion is improving business processes and the use of IT administration systems.
Her professional experience is backed by a BComm in Industrial Psychology and Accountancy.
Ken Litjens Project Chemist and Business Development
Ken has worked in mining and geochemical laboratories for more than 30-years. He has been responsible for the minerals activity of a global inspection and testing organisation in their south-east Asia/Pacific region. His qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry and Geology and he has designed and built over 30 mine-site based laboratories in remote locations across the globe.
Ken provides technical assistance both in-house and to develop solutions for our customers.
Mark Davern Plant Operator
Mark has worked for Western Refractories for over 10 years both in the crucible plant and in flux manufacturing. His attention to detail and eye for quality ensures that we produce a consistently high quality product.
On the weekend you will find Mark playing sport with his family or collecting AFL cards.
Adam Difonzo Warehouse and Production Supervisor
Adam has over 15 years experience in Warehousing and Logistics. He is highly safety focused and continually improves on quality, systems and procedures in the workplace. He has a strong background in Project Management through his time working for a large Fabrication workshop servicing the civil and mining industry.
Adam oversees the day to day operations here at Westref in order to keep things running smoothly.
